Whew, is all I can say. What a really depressing day for me. Finances are a mess, I can't really say that I have a handle on too many things in my life at the moment. The only thing I am certain about is that my wife and kids love me, my wife has stood by me through thick and thin over the last couple of years and quite frankly, I don't know how she did it.
We are seriously in debt, well when I say seriously, some people may laugh at me and respond with "what the hell are you on about?" As it is I am only about 10000.00 pounds in debt at the moment, but that is made up of 4 different credit cards, a couple of personal loans and some store cards, oh, I forgot to mention I bought some stuff on a BUY NOW PAY LATER scheme, that will be due in about 6 months. My salary does not cover our outgoings at the moment and the only way that we have survived is the fact that we have an online business. Now don't get me wrong, this is a business that does not produce a helluva lot of money, but it has produced enough over the last couple of months to keep our heads above water.
It is a sobering thing to have to admit to yourself that you are in debt and that you need help. My help is in the form of my wife, who I have typically kept at arms length when it comes to finances, truth is though, she is better at money management than I am or probably ever will be.
So I thought it was time to pool our resources and get on with the business of living, I get on and do what I do best, persevere with the online business of making money and she gets on and manages the incoming cash. Od, did I forget to mention, she home schools the kids as well, not too bad a catch if I do say so myself.
At the end of it, not really a bad day at all - what do you think?
